    Our Procedures

The reason such intense study and experience is required to qualify as an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon is because of the complex nature of the procedures undertaken, which includes corrective facial surgery stemming from major injury, bone grafting and the placement of dental implants.

    Wisdom Teeth

When the wisdom teeth become impacted, due to erupting at an angle and being trapped below the gum line, they can cause damage to your jawbone, gums, and adjoining teeth.

    Difficult Teeth

For surgery on more difficult teeth, Wisdom can prescribe conscious sedation, a technique which uses a sedative drug to help you relax and prevent you from remembering your surgery.ss

    Dental Implants

Dental implants are small titanium screws that are inserted into your jaw, to act as the foundation for a new tooth, giving you a great-looking, long-lasting new smile.

    Sinus Lift

Dental implants are unsuitable for some patients due to insufficient bone structure. We can perform a procedure designed to augment the bone to provide support for implants or dentures.

    Bone Grafting

For your new dental implants, you must first have an adequate structure of existing bone. We can utilise modern bone grafting techniques to build up the existing bone.

The lingual frenum is the muscular attachment connecting the tongue to the floor of the mouth. we can give your child normal tongue function, enabling them to eat and speak normally.

Also known as root end surgery, we remove the root tip of your tooth, prepare the root end cavity and fill it with a biocompatible material.

    Facial Trauma

When treating facial trauma, we ensure that our patient’s facial appearance is minimally affected.

    Impacted Canines

When a tooth fails to fully erupt from the gum tissue, it is known as an impacted or unerupted tooth.

    TMJ Disorders

Temporomandibular joint disorder, or TMD, is a condition that prevents the normal function of the temporomandibular joints.

    Oral Pathology

Oral pathology describes the study of the health of the mouth and the diagnosis and treatment of oral diseases.

    Preprosthetic Surgery

The preparation of your mouth before the placement of a prosthesis is referred to as pre-prosthetic surgery.
